The other reason
Twice a year someone reads your notes and decides whether your paperwork is acceptable. Kura Notes is built so that the answer is already yes before they arrive — and so you can prove it.
Signing stores a hash of the note's text, date, signer and time. If a single word changes afterwards, the app says so — nobody has to take anyone's word for it.
Who signed, viewed, edited or exported what, and when — each entry sealed with the hash of the one before it. Remove one and the chain visibly breaks.
Missed days, overdue physicals and TB tests, goal work with no outcome. You find them in March, not in the meeting.

A letter from the developer
For more than fifteen years I have supported people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and I have written thousands upon thousands of daily notes. Shift after shift, the same routine: finish the day, sit down, and start on a blank page while everything that happened is already going fuzzy.
Documentation is what ends good providers. Not the care — the paperwork. I watched people who were excellent with the people they supported walk away because the writing never stopped, and I came close enough to that myself to take it seriously.
Every prompt in Kura Notes came out of my own notes — the ones that passed review, written the way I actually write them. It does one job, in about five minutes, and it gives you back the part of the night that was never supposed to be work.
